We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Clinical Social Worker to join our Outpatient Brain Injury Day Treatment Program at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. Our integrative team is dedicated to serving the community with the highest quality of patient care.  Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas has served the growing communities of San Diego’s coastal North County since 1978. The Clinical Social Worker will provide an important role within our interdisciplinary outpatient brain injury day treatment program by assisting patient and families with psychosocial needs, how to cope post injury and with obtaining maximum benefits from medical care. Your goal as the Clinical Social Worker will be to work closely with the therapy team (PT, OT, Speech Therapy, etc) to help reintegrate the patient back into society.  You will need to demonstrate your ability to perform competencies as outlined in unit specific competency assessment tools as well as age specific care established for a Clinical Social Worker in the assigned area.
 
This is a Part Time day shift position, working 6 hour shifts on Tuesdays and Fridays (24 hours per Bi-weekly pay period). Candidate will need to be open to cover on-call as needed.
 

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited University/College
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider American Heart Association
  • Working knowledge of the laws, regulations, policies and appeal procedures as relative to the Federal, State and other reimbursement programs
  • Must be able to display good working relationships with patients, families, medical and nursing personnel, and all others employed at the hospital
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Brain injury experience
  • Inpatient acute rehab experience
  • Group facilitation skills
  • LCSW (Licensed by the State of CA Behavioral Science Examiners Board)
