The Certified Hand Therapist evaluates and assesses patient function or ability, including establishing a plan of care according to standards of practice. Performs reassessment relative to initial evaluation and modifies plan of care as needed with outpatient hand therapy patients. Demonstrates clinical skills with upper extremity splinting and hand therapy treatment interventions.

Job Requirements

Experience/Specialized Skills: Must have variety of problem solving skills. Excellent communications skills with internal and external customers.

Required Certification/Registration: Current occupational therapy license in State of California with Advanced Practice in Hand Therapy and PAMS Credential and Certification from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC/ CHT). Current BLS from the American Heart Association.  

Required Education/Course(s)/Training: Graduate of accredited school of occupational therapy (BS or MS degree)
