The Case Cart Tech provides patient care support services under the supervision and guidance of the Registered Nurse and within their scope of practice. Assists and collaborates with staff to promote optimal patient care. The position picks for surgical cases completely ensuring that all necessary supplies, instrumentation, and equipment are ready for the surgical procedures. Follows consistent case picking practices, inventory management practices, utilizing established processes, visual management and standard work. Provides and maintains a clean, safe, and attractive environment for patients.
This position is Casual (Per Diem) and located at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego in the Hillcrest area.

Job Requirements

Required Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Minimum of one year recent experience in: operating room, sterile processing, or in ordering and managing medical supplies.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and follow directions in English. 
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Accredited Program.
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association (AHA).
