The Care Team Assistant is the backbone of the Respiratory department. To be successful, the Care Team Assistant will be able to anticipate staff needs, work with attention to detail, and quick to respond in emergent situations spanning a large hospital campus. The Care Team Assistant is responsible for the overall cleaning, packaging, storage and distribution of respiratory equipment, supplies, and replenishing oxygen cylinders in the Respiratory Therapy Department and other areas of the hospital as needed. They are responsible for performing the safety test on respiratory equipment and documenting appropriately. May work with respiratory leadership to assist with department projects and logistics. Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Utilizes computer system in performing position duties. Keeps the Respiratory Therapy areas clean and organized. Performs other duties as needed.

This is a casula/per diem position with varied shifts, including weekends.

Job Requirements


  • Must be able to speak, read and follow instruction in English. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care provider

  • One year acute care experience.
  • One year of experience processing/cleaning equipment
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and procedures, infection control
  • Working knowledge of respiratory therapy and hospital equipment
