Join our team As a CV Tech where you assist the cardiologist during diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization and / or Electrophysiology lab. Assists the professional nursing staff with the preparation of the patients for diagnostic and interventional procedures. Prepares, operates and ensures the proper functioning of equipment associated with the performance of these procedures. Monitors and records events including the performance of hemodynamic calculations and / or cardiac mapping. Practices radiation safety procedures. Participates in performance improvement activities. Assists with the patient transportation as needed.

Job Requirements

Required:

 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an EP Lab and/ or Interventional Cath lab. Can monitor or scrub advanced specialty procedures in an EP or Interventional cath lab.
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate advanced proficiency and technical competence in all aspects of the scrubbing, and /or hemodynamic monitoring for these advanced specialty procedures and be proficient to teach these roles (i.e., TAVR, Mitral Clip, Lariat, Watchman, complex peripheral procedures etc.).
  • The ability to manage/prioritize during a crisis or stressful situation. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.

    Required Certification/Registration:
  • Current American Heart Association BLS 

    Required Education/Course(s)/Training: Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program (or Military program equivalent).
  • Current RCIS and /or RCES certification.
