The Biomed Engineering Tech performs general hands-on service and technical tasks including safety testing, preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment in the medical equipment management plan. Maintains documentation and reporting of service activity. Manage asset life cycle. Coordinates repairs and preventive maintenance with vendor representatives from outside firms. Works as a team to ensure all equipment is properly managed, and serves as knowledge resource to end users regarding equipment.
 
This position is full-time, 8 hour shifts, Monday-Friday.

Job Requirements

 Required Experience/Specialized Skills: 
  • A.A. in electronics or equivalent education in biomedical technology or equivalent military training or education

Preferred Education/Course(s)/Training:
  • A certification
  • AAMI certification
  • Understanding of basic human anatomy and physiology
  • Proficient and knowledgeable with applicable regulatory requirements
  • CMS-TJC-NFPA-HIPAA, etc.
