The Biomed Clinical System Specialist provides advanced levels of equipment and or departmental service and support for clinical systems for Biomedical Engineering. Work includes project management during installation, ongoing maintenance of clinical devices including network connectivity, user support and training, operating system updates, and antivirus installation, updates, and documentation.
 
This position is Full Time and located at Scripps Corporate offices in La Jolla.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • 5 or more years hands on experience performing direct repair and maintenance on Clinical Data networks including computerized patient data management systems, advanced physiological monitoring networks and interfaces clinical information systems, or PACS.
  • Generalized and specialized clinical department equipment.
  • Associates degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, and/or equivalent technical training, with documented advanced levels of technical service management expertise (OEM or equivalent) pertaining to the specific equipment requiring high levels of technical support.
  • Healthcare IT training, relevant IT networking, or system training.
  • Ability to use vendor supplied service documentation, technical manuals and general electronic industry parts specification materials in order to test, troubleshoot, maintain and repair all components of assigned equipment and related systems.

  • Net certification
