The Administrative Coordinator provides administrative support to ensure smooth operations. Performs clerical, administrative and general office duties involving typing, record and file maintenance, document creation, mail distribution and reception. Has in-depth knowledge of the unit's operations, organization and procedures. Maintains office files and records in accordance with internal procedures. Receives and refers visitors and telephone callers. Responds to requests for information. Opens and distributes mail. Provides a full range of administrative data management and coordination of reporting and project duties for the department. Analysis and maintenance of systems and equipment. Maintains appointment calendars.
 
This position is Casual/Per-Diem, 8 hour DAY shifts, Monday - Friday

Job Requirements

Required Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • Strong clerical skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritizes workload, and interacts with the public
  • Knowledge of computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
Required Education/Course(s)/Training:
  • Graduation from high school
  • Experienced computer user including word processing, spreadsheet, and database systems.
Preferred Experience:
  • 3 or more years in healthcare, preferably hospital environment
  • AA degree highly desirable
