Join a highly engaged team at the Stevens Cancer Center supporting the Scripps MD Anderson Cancer Center program located at Scripps La Jolla, where the Administrative Coordinator provides administrative support to ensure smooth operations. Performs clerical, administrative and general office duties involving typing, record and file maintenance, document creation, mail distribution and reception. Has in-depth knowledge of the unit's operations, organization and procedures. Maintains office files and records in accordance with internal procedures. Receives and refers visitors and telephone callers. Responds to requests for information. Opens and distributes mail. Provides a full range of administrative data management and coordination of reporting and project duties for the department. Analysis and maintenance of systems and equipment. Maintains appointment calendars.
 
This is a full-time, Monday-Friday, position located at our Scripps Memorial Campus in La Jolla.  Ability to occasionally travel from La Jolla to Encinitas required.

Job Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in customer service  and office environment
  • Knowledge of computer software including Word, Excel, Power Point, Spreadsheets
  • Microsoft Office scheduling and Epic experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Adaptable and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Experience working in an oncology setting and coordination of tumor boards
