Through our Scripps Community Connect program, we're making Epic EHR available to physicians who are committed to working within the Scripps network. Eligible practices will receive the full suite of applications designed to enhance care and improve outcomes for our mutual patients. The Epic Cadence Application Specialist will have experience with project coordination of technology projects, process improvement (Lean or some other type of similar experience), mentoring other analysts, and understands cross-functional application integration (i.e. how clinical applications connect with scheduling, billing, ancillary applications, etc.).
The Application Specialist is responsible for the Cadence application underneath Community Connect program. Expert on assigned application. Acts independently to lead cross functional, integrated team to create performance improvements across multiple domains. Translates business requirements into operational solutions. Proactively evaluate technical enhancements and consults with business to provide solutions to technical or process issues, guiding to best practices. Provides guidance, trains and develops the skills of less experienced IT staff.
This is a full time, salaried position and offers Scripps Health's award winning benefit package, with potential for a 9/80 work schedule. This role is currently a work-from-home position, however, does require location in San Diego, CA. Includes $5,000 retention incentive and $5,000 relocation assistance to eligible new hires. Must already be Epic certified/accredited in order to be eligible for incentives.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:
- Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
- Must remain in original department/specialty
- Must remain in original Job Title
- Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.
All healthcare personnel are required to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated (and boosted once eligible) against COVID-19 or agree to receive the vaccination at the point of hire or submit a written request for an exception based on a medical reason, disability or sincerely-held religious belief, practice or observance with supporting documentation. Proof of vaccination and booster (if eligible) must be submitted at the pre-employment physical. All employees are required to be up-to-date with their scheduled COVID-19 vaccine dose (2nd dose or booster) within 2 weeks of becoming eligible for such dose to be considered compliant. Failure to submit proof of vaccine or booster dose or an approved exemption within that two week window will result in suspension without pay and/or termination for non-compliance.

Requirements
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 7 years of related experience
- Prelude Epic certification/accreditation
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Five years related experience.
- Excellent critical and analytical thinking and excellent customer service skills.
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Expert knowledge of relevant application workflows.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Business acumen in multiple functional areas.
Required Certification/Registration:
- Epic Cadence certification/accreditation
