Join a winning team supporting the Maternal Child Health department at our Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas as an Administrative Coordinator. In this important role, your primary responsibilities will be filing birth certificates, helping with payroll, and organizing and helping keep track of data required documents. The ideal candidate will have medical office experience, advanced problem-solving skills, and a pleasant and professional demeanor.
Other general Administrative Coordinator duties may include:
- Providing administrative support to ensure smooth operations.
- Performing clerical, administrative, and general office duties involving typing, record and file maintenance, document creation, mail distribution and reception.
- Having in-depth knowledge of the unit’s operations, organization, and procedures.
- Maintaining office files and records in accordance with internal procedures.
- Receiving and referring visitors and telephone callers.
- Responding to requests for information.
- Opening and distributing mail.
- Providing a full range of administrative data management and coordination of reporting and project duties for the department.
- Analysis and maintenance of systems and equipment.
- Maintaining appointment calendars.
Position Pay Range: $25.87-$35.65/hour

Please note that actual pay will be determined based on relevant experience and internal equity within the pay range. Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state. Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office.
- Adaptable and able to handle large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent critical thinking and project coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- College courses in business, medical terminology preferred
- One year of experience in customer service, administrative or support role.
