This is a Casual/Per Diem position located at our Scripps Gluck Child Care Center near the Torrey Pines area. This position is Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm. This position helps cover PTO, LOA, and any additional department needs.

The Gluck Child Care Center was established in 1993 to provide child care services to the employees of Scripps Health and The Scripps Research Institute. This Gluck team serves children ages 3 months to 6 years of age in eight age-appropriate classrooms. The program is staffed by fully-qualified, accomplished teachers. Parents are always welcome and encouraged to visit. Their philosophy of education is to provide an integrated curriculum in which imagination and self-expression flourish.
As a Substitute Teacher Assistant, you will assist our Teachers with the care, development, and supervision of young children.

Position Pay Range: $23.00-$27.73/hour

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with young children
- Must be able to lift a child weighing up to 50 lbs., visually supervise children playing, hear a child’s call for help, and respond physically to a child’s needs
- Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED certification through American Health Association
Preferred Education/Experience/Training:
- 12 Child Development or Early Childhood Units
- Six month’s experience in a childcare setting working with young children ages 3 months to 6 years old
