Join a winning team supporting the Engineering Department at our Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas as an Administrative Coordinator. In this important role, your primary responsibilities will be to support the team with receiving and dispatching calls, overseeing the equipment database, editing time cards, and assisting with various other administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have medical office experience including competency in Microsoft Office suite, advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and a pleasant and professional demeanor.
The duties of the Administrative Coordinator include:
- Provide administrative support to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform clerical, administrative, and general office duties involving typing, record and file maintenance, document creation, mail distribution and reception.
- Have in-depth knowledge of the unit’s operations, organization, and procedures.
- Maintain office files and records in accordance with internal procedures.
- Receive and refer visitors and telephone callers.
- Respond to requests for information.
- Opens and distributes mail.
- Provide a full range of administrative data management and coordination of reporting and project duties for the department.
- Analysis and maintenance of systems and equipment.
- Maintain appointment calendars.
This is a Full Time (80 hours every two weeks) benefited position, working 8 hour day shifts Monday through Friday (typical work hours will be 7AM – 3:30PM, although these may vary). Located at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.
Position Pay Range: $22.13-$33.19/hour
In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, Scripps Health posts the pay range for all jobs. Please note that actual pay will be determined based on relevant experience and internal equity within the pay range. Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state. All healthcare personnel are required to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated (and boosted once eligible) against COVID-19 or agree to receive the vaccination at the point of hire or submit a written request for an exception based on a medical reason, disability or sincerely-held religious belief, practice or observance with supporting documentation. Proof of vaccination and booster (if eligible) must be submitted at the pre-employment physical. Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office.
- Adaptable and able to handle large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent critical thinking and project coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- College courses in business, medical terminology preferred
- One year of experience in customer service, administrative or support role.
