Extensive Healthcare Supply Chain operations, contracting, inventory control, product, or purchasing knowledge preferred. This Strategic Sourcing Analyst will have documented savings experience and broad Biomedical equipment service contracting and Information Services product and contracting knowledge. Additional Medical Capital equipment acquisition experience is also desired.
This Strategic Sourcing Analyst is the highly valued primary position managing the contracting needs for IS supplies, Telecomm service contracts, and Biomedical equipment Service(s) contracting in support of the many clinical departments across the Scripps system. This position will be expected to manage the savings initiatives, contracting projects, value analysis opportunities, contract life cycles, extensive equipment lists and analysis, and conversions for these primary customers. The candidate will be expected to attend all required Careline/Service line committee and project meetings as the Supply Chain point of contact and resource. The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will with "evidence-based facts and data" serve as the backbone of the sourcing process. They play a crucial role in providing decision-support information to key stakeholders including Category Managers, entity clinicians, carelines and leaders by researching, analyzing, and presenting data/information that captures all relevant aspects and contributing factors needed for contracting decision making. Ability to utilize rigorous logic to solve difficult problems, looking at trends and utilization to assist the clinicians/ stakeholders to make well-informed, quality decisions in a timely manner as it relates to the category of spend. AC-For the assigned category of spend, negotiates contracts and coordinating supplier integration plans with internal stakeholders. Maintains supplier relationship management processes and implements continuous improvement goals and cost savings initiatives. Monitors market dynamics that impact materials/services availability and/or pricing. Partners with internal clients to identify sourcing needs, develop buyer/market profiles, identify marketplace trends, savings opportunities, and define acceptable service levels. Generates impact analysis reports containing cost and utilization information and assists clinician and key stakeholders in making well-informed and quality decisions. Maintains contract system and data integrity while following identified standard work.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and deploy optimal outcome strategies in negotiation and deployment of contracts.
- Execute contracts that maximize the best quality and values for Scripps.
- Manage new service contract requests, Request for Proposals, contract renewals and all evaluations and service conversions for the best terms and outcomes for Scripps.
- Facilitate Terms and Conditions review, redlining, T&C negotiations with Vendors/Suppliers, utilizing Scripps templates and support from our Contract Administrator as required.
- Manage the Value Analysis new item/technology request portal, process, and reporting tools in concert with the assigned care/service lines.
- Vendor performance management and issue resolution to include price assurance, business reviews, rebate and discount management, data file integrity, and invoicing resolution.
- Support system wide relevant equipment service(s) or product projects, item conversion and inventory data gathering, analysis, and reporting in support of customers.
- Strong Data analytical and Excel skills with the ability to generate and/or interpret extensive Equipment inventory lists, service reports, market share/utilization/spend data, and pricing Impacts.
- Strong product/service benchmark analytic skills, facilitate New Vendor additions, P.O. generation and Vendor A/P resolution, and rebate tracking.
- Contract summary report generation, contract submission process, and savings/expense reporting and archiving
- Maintain above 90% of On-Contract % for items/services purchased
- Data integrity management and price file management
Strong working knowledge of the following systems:
- Lawson/Infor purchasing functions (order/p.o. generation)
- Lawson/Infor Contract Module
- Vision item management system
- Extensive MS tool knowledge with a focus on Exel but to include Power point, Word, Outlook, Teams

Requirements
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum of four (4) years of either financial analysis decision support, and/or supply/services spend analysis experience.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree. Experience with ERP software.
- Possess an understanding of supply chain data management and contract financial reporting.
- Medical Equipment Contracting experience.
- Familiarity with IS, software licensing agreements, and the types of peripheral products knowledge used in IS.
- Telecom experience.
