The Research Budget Analyst is responsible for all aspects of the development and negotiation of research project budgets. This includes preparing, negotiating and executing. In addition, contributing and leading to process development and improvement including developing work-flows and staying up to date on all current financial practices for research. Our research budget analyst is responsible for budgeting, cost estimates and research rate development for clinical research projects, grants and clinical trials, in accordance with corporate, departmental and federal policies/procedures. Acts independently and proactively interpreting complex clinical trial protocols to develop budgets, research rates and cost estimates that achieve project objectives, minimize financial and legal risks and protect corporate interests, while maintaining strong customer partnerships and negotiating budgets with commercial payers.
This position is also responsible for coverage analysis, Medicare Approval Coverage, or approval and coverage determination, negotiation of research pricing for hospital and patient billing, as it relates to research. Works closely with Scripps Health central offices and business services to develop research rates and gain approval for cost estimates and budgets.
This is a full time, salaried position, Monday through Friday. This position is required to work on-site (no remote work) in La Jolla.
