We invite you to join our highly engaged team of Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses. The WOCN will thrive in an environment that values teamwork and collaboration. This position is responsible for the overall development, implementation, and ongoing modification of system wide program to assure evidence based skin, wound, ostomy and continence care. Serves primarily as a clinical consultant. Provides direct patient care and education to selected patients. Supports staff development in areas of expertise to all members of the interdisciplinary team, including physicians and other internal and external customers.


This is a Casual/Per Diem, day shift position (80 hours per pay period), 8 hour shift.


Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • 2 years of clinical practice within the last 4 years.

Required Certification/Registration:
  • Current RN license in California.
  • Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR card
  • Graduate of an accredited school of WOCN or Wound Care Certification (WCC) or WCC or WOCN education in progress with completion within 2 years of hire.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Current Certification as a WOCN or WON.
