Join a winning team supporting Scripps Health as a Sonographer within our Scripps Systemwide Resource Team. This is an opportunity for you to practice at Scripps system of outpatient clinics and (5) hospitals campuses.  As a member of the Resource Team, you can fill vital roles on a daily or longer-term assignment providing critical coverage for sick calls, employees leave of absences, and peak service demands while gaining experience in a variety of environments. 
 
The ideal Sonographer candidate is confident in their abilities and ready to hit the ground running as you rotate to multiple sites across our system. Be ready to use your strong interpersonal skills and adaptability to thrive in our fast-paced environment and provide excellent patient care to patients across San Diego.
The Sonographer will be responsible for providing age specific care, education, and imaging procedures in conjunction with our very engaged nurses and physicians. You will adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements, participate in Quality Control and Performance Improvement activities, and maintains clinical competency and mandatory requirements.
 
We are currently hiring for a full-time (80 hours per pay period) position.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • ARDMS or CCI
  • Completion of formal training/educational program accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
  • Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare provider
 
Travel Requirements: 
  • Work between all Scripps Health outpatient clinics and five (5) hospital campuses: Encinitas, La Jolla, Torrey Pines, San Diego, and Chula Vista.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ARDMS registry in at least 2 specialty areas
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Sonographer in an acute care hospital environment
