Our Scripps System-wide Resource Services (SSRS) team is an opportunity for you to practice as an Emergency Room Nurse at all Scripps system (5) hospitals campuses.  As a member of the Resource Team, you can fill vital roles on a daily or longer term assignments providing critical coverage for sick calls, employees leave of absences and peak service demands while gaining experience in a variety of environments. 
Join our SSRS team where you will provide supplemental staffing services in accordance with philosophy and expectations of System Wide Resource Services. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and functions under the oversight of the respective service/department as assigned. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patient’s progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients care as delivered by the Care Team under their supervision and works collaboratively to ensure optimal patient care. They must demonstrate a willingness to be flexible, be team focused and have the ability to work independently in challenging and fluid clinical environments.
We offer two types of opportunities within the Scripps Resource Services:

SYSTEM WIDE FLOAT TEAM - Permanent Scripps employees who support the day-to-day and short-term assignments.
SYSTEM WIDE RESOURCE TEAM - Permanent Scripps employees who support long-term assignments, typically 12 weeks in duration.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Current RN license
  • Must have (2) two years of recent bedside adult ED experience (cannot have been away from the bedside more than 1 month) as an RN in specific specialty area.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications from the American Heart association
  • Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English, excellent interpersonal skills. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6 months previous experience as a travel, registry or float RN
  • BSN
  • Three years RN ED experience and CCRN, CEN
