Scripps Green is a 173-bed hospital that has served the La Jolla and greater San Diego communities with distinction since 1977.  Scripps Green offers a wide range of clinical and surgical services, including organ transplantation, oncology care, cardiothoracic and orthopedic surgery, interventional cardiology and blood and bone marrow transplantation.
Join the Scripps Green Hospital Surgery Team that is dedicated to creating an environment that is focused on restoring function and optimizing care, while maintaining the respect, autonomy and individuality of every patient. You will be
responsible for the management and coordination of patient care within the Care Unit on a per shift basis. This is accomplished through implementation and integration of the nursing process, through assignment and supervision of appropriate staff and in coordination and collaboration with physicians. The Lead RN functions as the Care Unit expert and provides functional direction to members of the Patient Care team.
This is a Full time, 8 hour day shift position with call.

Job Requirements

Required Certification/Registration:
  • One (1) year of recent RN surgery or operating room experience in an acute care setting
  • California Registered Nurse License
  • Current BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association
  • Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English
  • Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Five years recent Registered Nurse acute care experience
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
