As Manager, Patient Care – Home Health, you will be responsible for the oversight and leadership of the activities and functions of a department. You will participate in department strategic planning and contributes to its success through effectively communicating goals and expectations to staff. Ensure effective use of system resources. Provide functional expertise essential to staff and leadership.

Additionally, you will ensure expenses do not exceed budget. Actively participate in standards of practice and process improvement activities. Oversee staffing matrices and possesses authority to hire, conduct performance evaluations, and discipline employees and ensure policy and procedures followed by staff.

Position requires Admin on call rotation for after hour patient care issues.

This is a full-time Manager position located in Rancho Bernardo.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in health care required.
  • Five (5) years health care experience.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal Home Care regulations and standards.
  • Proven ability to utilize a problem solving process and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proven leadership ability, demonstrated time management skills and creatively.
  • Adapts readily to ongoing changes in the health care environment.

Required Certification/Registration:

  • Current CA licensure as RN, physical, occupational or speech therapist.
  • CA drivers license required.
  • BLS through American Heart Association.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

  • Masters degree.
  • Two years of Home Health experience.
  • Understanding of OASIS documentation.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
