Scripps Mission Valley is located the heart of Mission Valley's retail and business district, near the I-163, I-805 and I-8 freeways, Scripps Clinic Mission Valley offers families a “one-stop” health care experience. Our doctors practice in two buildings located 0.3 miles from each other, on a circular campus near the corner of Mission Valley Road and Metropolitan Drive.
We are a multi-specialty clinic covering primary care and fifteen specialties with forty providers. Offering ScrippsExpress and Ancillary Services including Lab and Radiology on site, we are proud to provide full service patient care of the communities we serve.

As Manager, Clinic Operations – RN at Mission Valley, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the patient care units or departments in an efficient and cost effective manner, including creating and managing staffing plans and ensuring appropriate equipment and resources are available to staff to do their job. You will create and maintain an environment that assures nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety.

Play an integral role in ensuring the safe transition of patients through the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care. Additionally, you will contribute to strategic planning of business units. Coordinate the ongoing development and productivity of the physician office practices. Provide leadership and direction to staff to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations, quality outcomes, and internal and external customer service. Be responsible for entire scope of department/location, including facilities management.

This is a Full Time, Manager position located in Mission Valley.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

  • Associate's degree
  • Five (5) years applicable clinical experience, two (2) of which in a leadership role.
  • Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
  • Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
  • Graduate of an accredited program.
  • Ability to effectively manage healthcare business and operational practices.
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and other applicable systems.

Required Certification/Registration:

  • Maintains current California RN license.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS
  • All competencies/certifications required of the charge RN on the unit.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree or MSN preferred.
  • Certification in area of specialty preferred if applicable.
  • Epic working experience highly preferred.
  • Five (5) years supervisory experience strongly preferred.
