Join our team at Scripps Green Hospital in Torrey Pines as a Lead Interventional Radiology Technologist. You will help to oversee our elite team of Interventional Rad Techs and partner closely with our Radiologists on complex procedures. This is an opportunity to function both as a leader and still maintain close contact with patients every day. Your duties will include interfacing with vendors and evaluating new products, taking part in new staff development, and serving as an active member on technical committees. The ideal candidate is always learning and eager to use their strong experience to help develop our team and provide excellent patient care.

Responsible for providing age specific care, education and imaging procedures in conjunction with other members of the defined health care team. Adheres to safety standards and regulatory requirements; participates in QC and PI activities; maintains own clinical competency and mandatory requirements. Functions as liaison between state and federal agencies for licensure, certification, and QA requirements for the entire Interventional Radiology department. Maintains all records as needed to verify that regulations are being maintained at all times. Responsible for charge reconciliation audits for procedures performed in IR department.

This is full-time (80 hours per pay period) and is located at Scripps Green Hospital in Torrey Pines.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of a formal training/educational program in an AMA/JCERT approved school of Radiology Technology
  • California Certified Rad Tech (CRT)
  • Fluoroscopy Certification
  • BLS from the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AART certification
  • At least one year of Interventional experience in a hospital or clinic setting
