Join our highly engaged team as a Lactation Consultant where you will provide direct patient care within the scope of your practice. This position will round on patients needing consultation and support with breastfeeding, in the inpatient setting. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patients' progress toward expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for supporting the lactation needs of the patient. Works collaboratively with the other members of the patients' care team to ensure optimal patient care. Demonstrates age-specific care as established for area and job title.

This is a casual (per diem) position, with DAY shifts.

Job Requirements


  • Current CA RN license;
  • Current American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Provider
  • NRP certification.
  • Completion of a Lactation Consultant Program
  • Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English; excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.


  • One year RN experience.
  • B.S. in Nursing or related field.
  • IBCLC certification
  • Experience in labor & delivery, mother/baby couplet care and/or NICU.
