The Epic Client Systems Administrator (ECSA) handles all the daily operations of the Epic Client Systems components. Manages help desk tickets as well as work requests on the Epic Client pieces. Assist with managing the Citrix and VMware environment. As well as troubleshooting load balancing Virtual IPs and groups and other job duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Epic Client Systems Administration in any of the following:
  • MyChart, MyChart Mobile, EpicCare Link
  • Care Everywhere
  • Hyperspace Web, Interconnect, Kuiper, EPS and System Pulse
  • Hyperspace
Additionally, the ECSA should have a strong understanding of Citrix VDI, Cisco UCS Architecture, EMC Storage Arrays and layer 2 and layer 3 concepts.

This position will be at our newly designed, centrally located business services office, which offers an on-site café and gym. This is a full time, salaried position and offers Scripps Health’s award winning benefit package. On-call may be required.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • One (1) year experience in any of the following Epic roles:
    • ECSA - MyChart, MyChart Mobile, and EpicCare Link
    • ECSA - Care Everywhere
    • ECSA - Hyperspace Web, Interconnect, Kuiper, EPS and System Pulse
    • ECSA - Hyperspace
  • Excellent critical and analytical thinking and excellent customer service skills
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced infrastructure design and documentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong Understanding of Citrix VDI
  • 5 years experience in Server System Administration
  • Familiar with Cisco UCS Architecture
  • EMC Storage Arrays
  • Understanding of layer 2 and layer 3 concepts
  • At least 3 years experience in:
    • ECSA - MyChart, MyChart Mobile, and EpicCare Link
    • ECSA - Care Everywhere
    • ECSA - Hyperspace Web, Interconnect, Kuiper, EPS, Web Blob and System Pulse
    • ECSA - Hyperspace
  • 1 year experience with VMware Administration
