This is the ideal role for a Population Health Analytics expert to drive to achieve the highest performance in value-based care.  As Director Population Health Analytics, you will be responsible for the identification of drivers and trends of expenditures and utilization across various lines of business, investigate root causes of variance to national benchmarks and deriving solutions to reduce cost and quality performance issues. You will collaborate with senior leadership team to develop and maintain standards and specifications for claims and clinical analytics to improve clinical processes and outcomes across the continuum. Play an integral part in managing special analytical and reporting projects related to network access, quality, cost trends and performance in payer, provider and clinical initiatives. You will partner with subject matter experts in Finance, Operations, Clinical, Pharmacy, Quality and other areas to develop analyses and make recommendations. Take the lead in
developing training and mentoring curriculum that is used to effectively analyze, present recommendations and demonstrate value. You will develop and implement business intelligence technology to meet short and long term strategies for achieving the highest performance in value-based care.

Relocation assistance available for an experienced Director of Population Health interested in living and working in San Diego.
 
This is a full time director level position.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: 
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or similar field 
  • 3-5 years progressive analytics leadership experience within managed care.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Epic, and other financial and statistical software with working knowledge of visualization tools and healthcare business intelligence tools.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Masters degree in Business, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or similar field, preferred.
  • Applied experience working within a data science, medical management analytics, population health analytics, or Health Plan analytics experience preferred.
  • Extensive experience with SQL, Hadoop, Crystal and WebI reporting in Epic preferred.
