We invite you to join our highly engaged team of as a Coordinator for the Bariatric Program, responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating services and activities associated with the Bariatric Center of Excellence Program. Acts as a clinical liaison and communications link to physicians, office personnel, nursing staff, allied healthcare professionals and patients and their families. This position is also responsible for maintaining quality standards for responsive service and professional documentation, maintaining current and accurate policies, procedures and practices, all in a manner which is consistent with the Mission and Vision of Scripps Health. Collects, reviews, collates and validates data on all bariatric surgery patients at Scripps Health. Completes all Requests for Information related to the bariatric center of excellence designation/accreditation. Facilitates the process of providing patient education.
 
This is a full-time, day shift, salaried position (80 hours per pay period).

 

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Two years recent experience in the care of post-surgical bariatric patients.
 
Required Certification/Registration:
  • Current California RN license
  • BLS certification.
 
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Experience in bariatric nursing or related field; program development and teaching experience preferred.
