Scripps Green is a 173-bed hospital that has served the La Jolla and greater San Diego communities with distinction since 1977. Conveniently located off I-5 near the Genesee Avenue exit, our healthcare professionals care for people from a number of communities including Bird Rock, La Jolla Shores, Mount Soledad, University City and beyond. Scripps Green offers a wide range of clinical and surgical services, including organ transplantation, oncology care, cardiothoracic and orthopedic surgery, interventional cardiology and blood and bone marrow transplantation.
Established in 1980, Scripps Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) Program was the first of its kind in San Diego and one of the first in the nation to administer life-saving stem cell transplantation. Today, the center is recognized for its expertise in making bone marrow and blood stem cell transplants possible for people across the country. We are the primary collection center for the National Marrow Donor Program in Southern California and the U.S. Department of Defense. Scripps BMT Program is also an active research facility dedicated to finding new therapies and treatments.
The Bone Marrow Support Complex Care Manager RN is rresponsible for the daily management and coordination of care for patients with complex health needs, including coordination with providers, navigators and ancillary and community resources across the system and care continuum. You will see patients through the process and coordinator the care of both donor and recipient for BMT and CAR-T. You will notify the doctor of any problems or changes and maintain communication with patient and their families. As a Bone Marrow Support Complex Care Manager, you will be amongst a team that is dedicated to creating an environment that is focused on restoring function and optimizing care, while maintaining the respect, autonomy and individuality of every patient. You will have the support of your team to ensure optimal patient care and success in your role.
This is a 10 hour, day shift, full-time (80 hours per pay period) position.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Three (3) years of recent RN experience in an acute care setting within hospital environment.
  • Two (2) years of complex case management experience in a managed care environment.
  • California Registered Nurse License
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or Certified Case Manager (CCM).
  • Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS provider certification
  • Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English
  • Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.
Preferred Experience:
  • RN experience in Oncology is strongly preferred
